1.   Why did I get “cannot create mempak file to save” when I start a game?
Ensure the “Game Save Directory” under the GUI options exists otherwise create it
2.   Why is my in-game black with background sound/music when it is listed as a working rom in ini?
Try setting your CF to 1 if it is currently higher and/or
Try to uncheck the "FPU Hack" if it is currently check and/or
Try to reinstall 1964 and/or
Try to reinstall DirectX and/or video driver
Report in the 1964 Forum when it still fail
Report in the 1964 Forum if unchecking "FPU Hack" works for the game
3.   Why is it that some games suffer intermittent pause with high harddisk activity?
Close all non-essential running tasks and/or
Defrag your harddisk if it is fragmented and/or
Get a memory manager e.g. Cacheman, to improve memory management and/or
Restart emulator and/or reboot pc
4.   Can I use 1964 save games interchangeably with others emulator(s)?
Not at the moment

Try to increase your game protection level i.e. “Check Block & DMA” is highest

Try to increase your game protection level and/or
Try changing the FPU Hack setting and/or
Try changing the RDRAM size setting and/or
Try changing your TLB setting and/or

Try changing your TLB setting and/or
Try changing your FPU Hack setting

Change to lower CF value
If it still flickers at CF1, it is a timing issue that need to be worked on by the authors
9.   Why is it that a working rom doesn’t work all the time for me?
One possibility is that you tried running an unsupported game earlier and need to restart the emulator
Restore the original 1964 ini file
Revert back any tweak / setting / plugin change to the point when the game was working
10.  Why is it that the GUI shows the game is loaded but it never start and there is no error ?
You could have accidently uncheck the "start emulation after loading ROM" box under "File" --> "Options"  and 
need to press F2 to start the game
Or you can check that option so that you need not press F2 everytime you load a game
